Extra virgin olive oil
Freddano extra virgin olive oil is a true treasure that encapsulates the richness and passion of the Freddano Estate’s lands, located in Orvieto. Every drop of this oil is the result of meticulous care for the territory, as the olives come directly from our olive groves, which extend for about six and a half hectares. In this magical place, the olives are lovingly selected, hand-picked, and then subjected to a strict cold mechanical pressing. Each individual step is designed to enhance the quality and flavor of our oil to the fullest.
The olive varieties used for the production of our extra virgin olive oil are Moraiolo, Frantoio, and Leccino, which give the final product a fruity and harmonious flavor. This oil is perfect for accompanying dishes from the local cuisine, giving them a touch of authenticity and delicacy. Soups, vegetables, and bruschettas come to life thanks to this raw seasoning, which marries wonderfully with the flavors of Orvieto’s culinary tradition.
It is worth noting that olive oil has a long history of connection with Orvieto, dating back to the Etruscan era. This ancient population used it extensively both as a condiment for their dishes and for medicinal purposes. The Romans, following in the footsteps of the Etruscans, also made extensive use of this precious oil and exported it to other regions.
Freddano extra virgin olive oil is much more than a simple culinary ingredient; it is an elixir that connects us to our historical roots and allows us to savor the authentic flavors of the territory. Every drop of this oil is a tribute to our history and the passion of our ancestors who cultivated these lands. So, do not hesitate to taste this unique and special oil, which carries with it the heart and soul of Orvieto and spreads like an embrace of authentic goodness on every dish.
